Ziatype Workshop at Digital Silver Imaging

I will be returning to Digital Silver Imaging on Saturday May 13th for another Ziatype palladium printing workshop. This process is easy to grasp and extremely variable, with tweaks to the chemistry used in the sensitizer yielding spectacular shifts in color and tone. If you have ever had an interest in learning platinum or palladium printing, this workshop is a great way to get your feet wet. This will be open to newbies and to those who have taken my previous workshop and would like to build on that experience. Spots are filling up---check Digital Silver's website for sign up and DM me if you have questions!

January Ziatype Workshop was a blast!

Participants in the January Ziatype printing workshop at Digital Silver Imaging in Belmont, MA produced some amazing work! Posting a couple of pics here. DSI has scheduled me back for a "Ziatype 2.0" workshop on Feb. 25th. Anyone who has taken a previous workshop with me or has some experience using the process may attend. It's been a really busy summer teaching and running workshops, and all my students, youths and adults, have turned out some amazing work! Next on the agenda is the workshop in cyanotype process at Longwood Gardens outside Philadelphia in Kennett Square, PA. We will be using materials from the famous water gardens to make images in the historic cyanotype printing method. This one promises to be really fun!

Lesley University College of Art and Design Summer Youth Program

I am pleased to be teaching two classes during summer session. After the winter we had here in Boston, everyone is enjoying getting outside and feeling that sunshine and harnessing it in the interest of making photographic art. Here is my group outside the Lunder Arts Center making cyanotypes.
